Project Background

A 2024 lobby refurbishment for a 5-star hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road. The four-level main atrium still ran halogen E14 bulbs in 48 crystal chandeliers. The property wanted to keep the chandeliers visible but cut the energy bill and the maintenance cycle.

Challenge

Chandeliers hung at 8.2m, so every bulb swap meant scaffolding and a night-time closure of the lobby. The dimming system was a legacy Lutron Grafik Eye 3000. Any LED retrofit had to play nice with its trailing-edge dimming curve.

Solution

Custom E14 LED candle bulbs (4W, 2700K, CRI 90) replaced 40W halogens in all 48 chandeliers. Same envelope, same filament-look glow. A trailing-edge-compatible driver was added to each fixture to handle the Lutron dimmer. Accent wall washers stayed at 3000K. Install took three weeks, working 2am to 6am.

Project Background

A new-construction boutique womenswear store on Rue Saint-Honoré, opened early 2025. 180 sq.m of sales floor plus two fitting rooms. The owner found us at the Maison&Objet lighting show in Paris and wanted a layered plan done before the contractor started electrical rough-in.

Challenge

Fitting rooms had to render skin tones and fabric identically. Anything below CRI 95 made the stock look flat. The street-facing vitrine needed enough punch to compete with daylight without washing out the mannequin. Budget was tight, so the owner wanted track lighting she could re-aim herself rather than a fixed grid.

Solution

Track-mounted spotlights (3271 lm, 35° beam) at 4000K with CRI 95 / R9 56 cover the sales floor on a 1.2m track spacing. Fitting rooms use recessed downlights with the same LED bin for color consistency. The vitrine got double-density spots on a separate circuit for after-hours dimming.

Results

Project Background

A fintech company moved its regional HQ to a Grade-A office in Marina Bay in 2025. The fit-out covered 2,400 sq.m across three open-plan floors, all previously lit with T5 fluorescent troffers that buzzed and flickered.

Challenge

The tenant brief demanded UGR below 19 on every desk (DIN EN 12464-1). Three floors needed independent dimming schedules, and the landlord only allowed weekend access for the re-wire. Security wanted the perimeter zone lit 24/7 even when desks were dark.

Solution

600×600mm edge-lit LED panels (36W, 4000K, UGR <19) replaced every T5 troffer. A DALI bus was run floor-by-floor with scene controllers at each staircore. Ceiling-mounted PIR sensors were added to the core and perimeter zones so that vacant floors drop to 10% automatically.

Results

Project Background

Traditional Tokyo izakaya needed warm, layered lighting to create intimate dining zones while maintaining food presentation quality across 120 sq.m.

Challenge

Balancing ambiance (low light) with food photography quality; zoning different areas (bar, dining, private rooms).

Solution

64 wall lamps at 2700K warm white, dimmable 0-100%. Accent spotlights at 3000K CRI 90+ for food presentation. Smart scene control for 4 dining zones.

Results

Project Background

After Hurricane Ian swept through in 2023, a beachfront resort in Miami Beach had to replace its entire facade lighting. The original die-cast aluminum wall packs had corroded to the point where salt was pitting the lenses. The 120m ocean-facing elevation needed a complete re-spec.

Challenge

Two years of salt spray had eaten through the old fixtures housings. The condo association also had to comply with the Florida Marine Turtle Lighting Ordinance. No light above the horizontal, no blue-rich spectrum, and everything below 580nm had to be shielded.

Solution

316L stainless steel wall washers (IP66, 2700K, turtle-friendly amber LEDs) were specified for the full elevation. Each fixture has an internal glare baffle that cuts all upward light. A DMX backbone runs the length of the building so the property can dim to 30% after 11pm and run holiday scenes.

Results

Project Background

A third-party logistics operator in the Hamburg Free Port had been running 400W metal halide high-bays since 2016. By 2025, half the lamps had shifted color and restrike time after power cycles was eating into productivity. The 5,800 sq.m warehouse has 9m clear-height racking.

Challenge

DIN EN 12464-1 calls for 200 lux on the floor and 150 lux on the vertical face of stored goods at this height. The old metal halides delivered 180 lux at best, and dark spots between racks made forklift drivers nervous. Replacing fixtures at 9m meant hiring a boom lift for every row.

Solution

150W LED high-bays (5700K, 110° lens, 21,000 lm) replaced each 400W MH unit one-for-one. The 110° beam covers both the aisle floor and the rack face at 9m. Microwave motion sensors were wired per aisle so empty rows drop to 30% and ramp up to 100% when a forklift enters.
